Disadvantages of using Tailwind CSS

Before implementing Tailwent CSS in your project, here are some drawbacks of using Tailwent CSS,

Hard to Maintain

Tailwind CSS saves your time in case you're working on a project or creating a website for a client, and you can build your project very quickly, but when it comes to scalable applications.

Imagine if you have created an E-commerce website, and listed some t-shirts with various colours, then you wanted to update something, and here you get to know the drawbacks of Tailwent CSS. You will waste hours & hours just searching class names for a small operation.

Slower than CSS

When your website gets so many visitors, in that case, you need to do something like write more efficient code and fact, that the less the file size is, the more speed you will get,

and this is not the thing in Tailwent CSS because the file size is larger than the CSS, it will take more time to process, and it will make your website slow .

Looks ugly

The code does not look so clean, you will see a div or class name everywhere, which is not a good experience for a developer, and scalability will be difficult.

It's more scalable than BostTrap, but still, I would say medium in terms of scalability. And readability will be awful if you use Tailwent in your project.

Steep learning Curve

I feel this is the worst thing about using Tailwind CSS. You will have to remember different class names, which may not be suitable for programmers like me,

who do not like to memorize code. Do not try to remember the code, Google and read the official documentation.

Not highly customizable

In terms of customization, it's better than Bootstrap, but if you want something perfect, you are not in the right place, but you cannot customize it like CSS,

and it's come with limitations that you should be aware of. In simple terms, It's pre-written CSS by developers.

Conclusion:-

If you are a beginner, I will not recommend Tailwind CSS, and if you are a freelance or intermediate-level programmer, you should try it out, and you will save a lot of time.
